Terms and conditions
Updated: 21 September 2026
1. Scope and contracting partner
These terms apply to consumer purchases of digital books (e-books and audiobooks) through “Meine Bücherwelt” at sebastian-albrecht.de/verlag. Your contracting partner is Sebastian Albrecht, Kottenkamp 6, 32278 Kirchlengern, Germany (kontakt@sebastian-albrecht.de).
2. Service
Purchases provide reading or listening access to the selected digital edition through “My library” in a browser. The product page identifies the edition and language. Samples are free. Full editions require a free account and a current browser.
3. Contract formation
The display of books is not a binding offer. Completing payment submits your binding purchase offer. The contract is formed when payment is confirmed and the book is unlocked in your account; you receive confirmation.
4. Prices and payment
The final prices displayed when you place your order apply. No VAT is charged under section 19 UStG. There are no shipping costs. Payments are processed by Stripe. E-books are subject to German fixed book pricing.
5. Delivery
Delivery follows receipt of payment by unlocking the title in your library. Immediate performance requires your express consent during purchase (see section 6).
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal; see the Withdrawal policy. For paid digital content, early expiry requires the statutory conditions: express consent to early performance, acknowledgement of losing the right, provision of contract confirmation and commencement of performance (section 356(6) BGB).
7. Usage rights
Full payment grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to read or listen to the purchased edition privately through your account. Redistribution and public availability are not permitted. Uses allowed by law remain unaffected.
8. Statutory remedies
Digital products are governed by sections 327 et seq. BGB, including the duty to provide updates needed to maintain functionality. Report defects to kontakt@sebastian-albrecht.de.
9. Account and access term
Reading access continues while your account exists. Deleting the account ends access; statutory rights, including contractual and data-protection rights, remain unaffected. If the platform closes, purchasers will be informed in advance and offered an appropriate way to retain access.
10. Dispute resolution and final provisions
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in consumer arbitration proceedings. German law applies, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of habitual residence.
